Background: Carey Ransom is the Managing Director of BankTech Ventures. He is a technology entrepreneur and investor, having started, grown, and led multiple B2B and consumer tech companies, including 2 large fintechs, Aspiration and Happy Money. With his extensive background in product, marketing, business development, and strategy, Carey has played key roles in companies throughout their journeys from startup to exit. As an active member of the SoCal startup and investment community, Carey is dedicated to fostering purpose, culture, and strong teams. He hails from Frankfort, Indiana, where his family had a nearly 150 year-old family business and an over 100 year relationship with the community bank there.
He's always happy to talk and strategize about the future of banking, financial technology, startups, culture, talent and leadership.
